Tutor Pace is a leading online tutoring platform which is bent on helping students who have difficulties in their studies. Access an online tutor and get the best of results for improving scores in the subject. It’s a formidable online tutoring entity, has come a long way in redefining the ways the world has been receiving and imparting education. Quick and qualified expert help is available around the clock for global students’ community, be it homework help or instant assistance in any other subject.
Subjects include, but are not limited to, math, science, English, social studies, economics, accounting, and computer sciences. 1-2 years experience is required and specific requirements are listed for available positions.
Transcom (and the company formerly known as Cloud 10) is a large, global outsourced service provider, handling customer contacts in 33 languages and for more than 350 clients. Requirements include the desire to work in a virtual environment and high quality customer service skills, previous customer service experience. Make sure to choose “Home Agent” in the dropdown box for selecting a site. Of note is the application process is listed at taking 35-45 minutes to complete and there is a phone audition included.

General transcription and captioning. You create a free worker account in order to get more information, and there is also a Speechpad Marketplace User Agreement that has information you should read over, and provides additional general information for typists as well. Speechpad also has a phone number and email address that they openly provide, in case you have any additional questions for them.
Speechpad uses Amazon Mechanical Turk to assign work. It may not be the pay you are hoping for, but it is also a way to gain experience, which is often a requirement for transcription companies.
Specific niche transcription of sermons and with very specific requirements for transcribers looking to work with them. The information is very clear regarding these requirements, so make sure to read over the criteria carefully, as they are looking for very specific skills. Of note also is that it is stated on their website that you do not have to be a Christian to work for them and they are focused on finding quality transcribers who fit their needs.
They hire only from the US. There is an application to complete on the link provided.
Birch Creek Communications (formerly Clark Fork Communications) provides financial, legal, and general transcription services. They hire as independent contractors, not employees. Regarding availability and turnaround time, per their website: “Most work comes in during the day Monday thru Friday. Most corporate work requires same-day turnaround. Legal generally has a 2-5 day turnaround. On occasion, we have corporate accounts that require evening work, with the work coming in by 5pm Central Time and being due early morning.”
Regarding compensation, per their website: “For corporate and financial, we pay by the audio minute, ranging from .40/audio min to 1.25/audio min. For general legal, we pay by the page, ranging from .75/page to 1.75/page. Rates of pay depend on the job, turnaround time, and the quality of your work. The upper range of the scale will be given to those with 99% accuracy consistently.”

CallCenter QA is a mystery shopping company that provides quality assurance (mystery shops) for call centers, with some as well for online shops, and on the application, they ask if you are a homeowner, if you would allow in-home estimate shops as well. They only hire in the US, you must be at least 18 years of age; however, no experience is necessary. The work consists of completing a telephone mystery shop and then completing a brienf online feedback form. Per their website, calls are typically 5-10 minutes and forms take a few minutes to complete, and for that you would receive $5 and paid within 7 business days. As with most mystery shopping services, it’s not likely that this would be steady or regular work, as you will receive shop opportunities based on your profile and the company’s needs.
